The Leaning Tower of Pisa

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is 7 stories tall.

The Leaning Tower was built to compliment the Cathedral at Pisa.  It was a symbol of power and riches.

The 8th story is a bell tower.

The Italian flag sits atop the Tower.

There are lots of columns!

The lean is 12 feet off center.

What is Oobleck?

We read Bartholomew and the Oobleck.   We talked about what we think oobleck is and recored any questions we had.  Then it was time for the real fun.  The class was divided into five groups. They could explore, ask questions, work cooperatively with peers to experiment.  Below are some photos of our fun and each groups summary of their findings.

There seems to be some problem uploading videos. I will try again later!

Clem and Caroline pour and measure the sand.

Eli authored and illustrated a book about dinosaurs.

Kymani and Justice worked together to co-author a book.

Haiden and Jamarcus use the I-pod to reread Pete the Cat, a class favorite.
