We loved Pete the Cat sooooo much that we wanted to keep the theme going with our Nursery Rhymes.

We compared and contrasted Pete the Cat, I Love My White Shoes, Pete the Cat and the Four Groovy Buttons, and Pete the Cat Rocking in My School Shoes.

 

 

Once we decided what each book had in common, we used that to guide the writing of our class book.  We reviewed which nursery rhymes we had studied; Mary Had a Little Lamb, Humpty Dumpty, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Jack and Jill, and Wheels on the Bus.  We had to decide what the problem was going to be and also include our skill of focus (rhyming).  The best part was "singing our song."  Here is a video of our completed project!
